Mass of Thanksgiving

10 January 2025. More than 300 devotees of Eileen O’Connor attended a Mass of Thanksgiving at St Brigid’s Catholic Church, Coogee, to commemorate the 104th anniversary of her death. Mass was celebrated by Most Rev. Anthony Fisher, Archbishop of Sydney, and concelebrated by Most Rev. Terry Brady, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Sydney, Fr Thoi Tran msc, Fr Bob Irwin msc, Fr Anthony Robbie, Fr John Knight and Fr Paul Smithers. Mass was followed by a morning tea hosted by Our Lady’s Nurses for the Poor in the Parish Hall, with many visiting Our Lady’s Home to pray at Eileen’s tomb. It was a beautiful day.
