Eileen O’Connor’s birthday celebrated

19 February 2025. Sisters from Our Lady’s Nurses for the Poor and the Sisters of Charity joined staff, students and parents of Eileen O’Connor Catholic College, Lewisham, to celebrate the 133rd anniversary of Eileen O’Connor’s birthday. The prayer service led by staff and students was both joyful and inspiring, with attendees invited to find inspiration in the life of Eileen O’Connor and work to do good deeds in their own lives. The Sisters then joined staff and parents for morning tea. Eileen O’Connor Catholic College provides holistic educational services for young people with moderate intellectual disabilities or complex learning needs. Eileen knew first-hand how challenging it can be to struggle with a disability and offers inspiration to the students at the school. Eileen’s inspiring story is an integral part of the school curriculum.
